I can lie pretty well By Rick February 10th '07
What? Don't judge me! I missed a week of updates!
Err, a few updates.
A LOT of updates. Fine! The key point in this discussion is that I did not intend to get a Wii. And I happened to get one.
Please send all complaints to
TwilightPrincess@TheSexyWii.com
Zelda was the cause of my absense, I just followed through with the rest of it. Sorry.
Christmas Eve! By Rick Dec 24th '06
Lo, for I have done my authorly deed in giving out presents.
Cause I was gonna update this week anyways.
But Sunday isn't on the update schedule. It's a freebie, catch mah drift? Good! There'll be a new incentive on monday, along with a new comic. Horray for materialism day!..Er, Christmas!
Blizzard 2006 By Rick Dec 21th '06
It's fricken cold in here Mr. Bigglesworth.
Weather Related Mishaps By Rick Dec 20th '06
SO. December decided to make it's grand entrance.
These last few years, it's just been fucking napping compared to what it's spat out on us today. School got cancelled--that's impressive considering we had our last FINAL today.
And speaking of finals, that's why the first two updates this week were, eh, belated. That's the word. I'll try and update the rest of the week, for those of you defying the elderly get-togethers to read the comic during these hectic holiday-ish times, I salute you.
Ghck. Old. By Rick Dec 14th '06
Ever notice how elderly people that also happen to be challenged by the teetering pendulem of mobility, have those walkers with tennis balls on them?
The hell?
Do elderly people just go feral in tennis courts, and wield them as trophies? And if so, I'm never gonna play tennis again.
And then there's the heckling. Elderly people patronize anything you do that they don't understand.
Internets? Pah, you could be doing the dishes.
Videor games? Eh, you could be workin' buoy.
That's yer lady friend? Back in mah day we had to walk through twenty miles ah snow to see the TV. And the pigs shat everywhere in the barn so we had ta clean it. Oh, right, back to the point. So mah daddeh had just gotten done yellin' at meh. Back in mah day they were allowed to beat our arses. Taught ya some good it did. Oh yeah, and then
Fun.
Boy Howdy By Rick Dec 13th '06
Checks are fun.
I got a packet of fake ones, and I've been wandering around all day giving them out to people. Casually random topics, too. I paid one of my friends a billion dollars to lick his elbow.
Long story short, I still have no money.

Vocab! By Rick Dec 11th '06
So I learned stuff that the school place. Mostly just vocab, because that's the most I really cared to pay attention to, but that inlies the interestingness. I found me a cool word.
dil·a·to·ry [dil-uh-tawr-ee, -tohr-ee]
–adjective
1. tending to delay or procrastinate; slow; tardy.
2. intended to cause delay, gain time, or defer decision: a dilatory strategy.
Its cool, cause this word is my frickin national anthem of a word. You could say I am dilatory when it comes to updating, and often cause unexpected hiatuses for my comic, leading to belated updates.
Yeaaah, learn you some vocab.
Vote you some Surface Fridge. It's new!
Curse ye, fingers! By Rick Dec 6th '06
Karma has come back to bite me on the ass.
In addition to it summoning a few angry IMs regarding my, let's say, delayed update schedule, it casted a spell that lowered my computer's intelligence -105.
Seriously. It has become stupider than that rock that found itsself on our lawn, and that's really not all too smart considering it came from our slack-jawed neighbors.
And that does not even scratch the enthusiasum of hate I have for my computer right now. It took me 12 hours to make this last comic, and I had intended it to be some 20 minutes because Surface Fridge comics are easy to make. (Art-wise.) My computer would glitch out every ten minutes to an inevitable reboot. Twice I didn't get to save, the other three times it didn't save anyways.
And on top of all of that, didja notice the nifty sprite holding the wiimote/nunchaku? The level of detail I usually use for the sprites could not comphrehend that much detail. It took five hours on top of making the comic to make that petty sprite of him holding a wiimote. Now you're thinking, sure, you just can't make fingers in MS paint can you Mr. Author person?
I made tons during those five hours. The problem was everytime I finished the sprite mysteriously had two left hands. It's hard to sprite a controller when you're not positive of what it actually looks like when being held.
Aaaanywho, thats all my rant for now. I would hopefully conclude the hiatus with this comic. You could conjecture a new voting incentive sometime soon too.
Whoo Hah By Rick Sept 26th '06
Sssshh. It's time for that sleep thing. EHRMhitmanHACKCOUGH.
New incentive tomorrow.
That Update thing By Rick Sept 25th '06
So heres basically the first update of the comic. I appologize for the whole lateness factor,as I've been, and still am working on school and getting the art for the most belated..erhm, recent issue of RotSC. So enjoy! And there's a new incentive comic too. And if I finish this essay I've gotta write for film study, expect the extras page to be finished tonight.
Individual Pages Complete! By Rick Sept 21st '06
Just finished the final pages (just the pages) and have gotten started on editting their actual content, which shouldn't take too long. Though it may compromise the update today, if I don't finish entirely.
Site Complete! By Rick Sept 21st '06
Check it out! I finally got the new sub-site up for, fittingly enough, the sub comic: Surface Fridge! As for coding, cutenews hates this, and so did walrus for a while, so most of the updated content is manual labor on my part, but I still enjoy making surface issues as much, if not more than RotSC ones. So check for an update in the near future! Huzzah for following the actual update schedule!
